You are so right! And informative, I didn't know microwaves are dangerouse to service due to their giant capacitors. I did suggest to Best Buy the microwave is broken and they should just give me a new one. It is indeed under warranty, but they installed it. They won't give me a new one they are making me get a technician to my house, yet they don't have a technician available. I really appreciate you taking the time to provide some feedback.

Update for the community here: It has been over a month now, I've spent numerouse days and many hours on the phone with Best Buy plus messages on this thread. My microwave is still broken and Best Buy still has NOT even scheduled an appointment for me with a techninian. At this point, a family member of mine who relies on microwave for health reasons is being impacted the hardest. This is not acceptable.

Last Update: the person assigned to this ticket was not helpful, Best Buy never took responsibility and while they acnwoleged I am eligible for a new microwave, they put a stop in delivering the microwave and I can't pick it up. They require me HAVING A TECHNICIAN come to see this existing microwave which is broken but they NEVER scheduled a technician.
Lesson Learned: NEVER EVER shop again at Best Buy. to coorporate communications: You just lost a customer who has been shopping ALL electronics and home appliances for 2 decades. Never again, I no longer have the patience or the time to deal with this lack of respect to your customers.
