My story

Hi my name is Chad, i’ll play it online game which I am top 20 in Central America as well since covid I’ve been working from home. I’m 24 don’t make a lot so I saved up to buy HP Valkyrie 16bg gaming laptop all year. Made made my purchase September 11 with the geek squad warranty. This is my second time purchasing the warranty info when I remember it was pretty good. Around November it start giving me issues multiple blue screen of death, I spent many evenings troubleshooting What were the causes did everything from updating every driver from restoring it up to multiple times running memory diagnosis sfc scans. So I made an appointment at the Best Buy in Culver city for an repair . I expressed to the geek squad agent how important this laptop meant to me and how critical it is for me to have an functional PC. He told me i’ll be at without eight weeks, seriously 8 weeks and I should consider looking at replacement computers while my warranty with geek squad cover the repair, I don’t have a type of money to currently right now during this global pandemic specially here in California. I can get some stuff done on my laptop for about 15mins before it crashes from one of the 13 count errors I have all document it in my Event log. I should mention all there only two program I use outside what comes without the computer and that curse client and battle.net.

I feel cheated by my once trusted as if I was sold a fault device just able to make it past your 30 days return, if the drivers are updated the computer has been wipe and the ram check clean and clear, it’s not the user, it’s the device functionality 0% of of my control! Please have a heart , I keep out hope that maybe I’ll find some miracle repair online for the computer because I just can’t understand how such a new expensive computer completely go out like this I never seen anything like this in my life I never felt so cheated and manipulated. Even with my warranty covering they won’t even replace my device in-store they won’t even attempt to try to repair it or look at it or diagnostic in-store they just want to send it away and see me away for eight weeks. I purchased this device trusting Best Buy I purchased warranty feeling ensured by geek squad I felt like a team had my back and PC safely and well being , but this whole false Personna drop soon as you made your purchase. I’ve been a loyal customer the best Buy since a kid I brought all my stuff there. Please help? What’s a laptop to bby solution, what is replacing placing a under geek squad warranty laptop to you guys? It’s under warranty that I can replace my laptop one of equal value if it’s not functional beyond repair and anyone with any technical know-how can see my logs show an issue greater than the system specially after restores & driver up dates and a ram scan , fan over clicking & etc, can you have them in store i’m reaching out because my manager at Best Buy most of my childhood , I enjoy shopping at Best Buy I enjoy making purchase at Best Buy but this experience is really horrible. I’m going be out of a job and my one of my only hobby thanks during one of the toughest time This century


That’s what I was told that you have no customer service department / relation dept?

Covid has slowed repair times to between 4-8 weeks. They have no way to speed it up. It littererally takes that long just to get parts. It's the same everywhere, not just bestbuy.

My computer state doesn’t need 4-8 weeks to determine I need a new one , it takes 4-8secs, you missing the point

I have a warranty I paid for , & a none functional laptop which I paid 1500$ for which has was two programs & the laptop Was brought 9/11/20 less than year old. Bby is a multiple billion dollar company and you telling me they refuse to help one loyal customer after selling me a very apparent bugged computer less than a year old when I’ve brought into there geek squad services I just restore my computer and this morning and still can not use it for work or anything for 20s and it HAS TWO PROGRAMS A 1500$ laptop are you kidding me . Just replace the laptop with the same one in store a simple solution instead I have to fight and call and cry Looking for different support avenues I cannot go eight weeks without a working computer that’s my livelihood friend
