My refrigerator is not working and Protection plan is not activated



I bought samsung refrigerator 2 years and 11 months ago with 3 years protection plan.


It has had a few issues since last week.

1) it does not cool any more 2) cannot push fride door fully.


When I called Geek Squad, they told me my protection plan is not activated although they confirmed my purchase of protection plan. So, the agent told me they cannot send technician before activating my protection plan. He said it will take 5 businessday to activate.


Best buy did not activate my plan by their mistake and refused service request. The only reason I bought it from best buy is your protection plan.


Can I receive service before my protection plan expires because it has passed 2 years and 11 months ?


I cannot wait because refrigerator is essential appliance for life.
