Laptop battery

I bought a new HP in Nov 2020. Noticed in Mar 2021 that it was not maintaining a charge. It worked just battery died quickly. Took it to geek squad.
Geek squad never communicated with me. I would call customer support. I was told it was sent to Manufacturer. Next time, a part was ordered. I called the store and complained to geek squad manager. I just wanted to know when my computer would be fixed. Never any communication initiated by them.
After several weeks. I had enough. I went to the store. They told me they destroyed my laptop. I asked why, it worked but battery would not last. I asked what about what I had on the computer. I was told oh, your files are toast. My music, pictures, documents all gone. Why? Why was i not informed ahead of time.
Then I was told I would get a store credit but not to forget I needed to buy a new warranty for my new laptop.
I was devastated and furious. Your geeks may know computer (iffy) but definitely have no clue about customer service. Worst experience ever!

My first ticket was canceled with no communication. I was trying to track it on line. The online would say to call the store. The store would always send it national.
