LG food loss claim

Hi,

We bought an LG refrigator from Best Buy in Oceanside, CA in January 2019.

Beginning of Sept. 2019 - the freezer would not stay cold. They sent a repair person and all they did was recharge the system.  A few days later, the freezer went out and then the refrigerator stopped working.

It took them several days for them to reschedule a person to come and take a look at it.  We asked for a complete refund, becasue they were total idiots and didn't seem to care about our food and they were very rude.  The would not give us a refund.

 

September 24th - they finally sent a LG repair person and this is what is on the repair order:

Check unit over, unit not cooling due to faulty previous repair, replaced compressor, fliter drier, vacuumed system, recharged and tested, checks ok.

 

LG said they would start a food loss claim within 24 hours.

 

I called the food loss claim department:  {removed per forum guidelines} on these dates:

each time I called, they said they would e-mail us about the food loss.  Every time I called, they said it was not started yet.

Now, I am contacting you to see if you can help since we bought the refrigerator from you.  please help!!

Thank you for writing to us about your refrigerator here on our community forums. Having any major appliance stop working is never ideal, especially something as important as a refrigerator. I would be happy to help you look in to what options we may have available to assist. I do have a few questions, based on your message it sounds like you have been working with LG through this entire process, is that correct? We would typically be unable to provide assistance with a manufacturers warranty process. Did you purchase a Geek Squad Protection plan for this refrigerator?

Thanks for replying to my message.  All is good now.  LG finally sent me a check for the food loss.  :-)
