LG Refrigerator from Hell. I will never purchase or recommended LG refrigerators!

I Will Never Purchase An LG Refrigerator! This refrigerator has required more than 3 times service for major issues cracked freezer walls, compressor, leaking water and ice machine, you name it! Unfortunately Best Buy will not recognize it as a lemon as under their extended warranty they would only do that if they have repaired the same part more than 3 times! Time lost cost inquired not to mention the frustration of calling and having to explain yourself a dozen times! Please save yourself the headache don’t purchase an LG refrigerator!  No, I would not recommend this to a friend or anyone! Maybe I should reach out to the dozens of Best Buy customers whom have experienced the same issue with this LG refrigerator as I have noticed their comments on Best Buys website.


I have been waiting since early February but parts were only ordered on 02/17/20 and now one is on backorder. Every year as you can note above it requires a part replacement and service. I have finally reached my patience threshold and would like a corporate solution. As I can not wait any longer for the Geek Squad option I have been waiting on as it can take up 30 days 03/17/2020 to possibly have a backorder ice maker part finally arrive for the refrigerator and then hopefully your 3rd party service provider can arrange a date for installation (which they have left me waiting twice this month of February for 5 hours each time and no one called me to cancel not even Geek Squad which is unacceptable).

Thanks very much for joining our community to reach out to us about this. I know that having a product continually stop working is a giant pain. I'm sorry that we haven't been able to nail down a fix yet.


Under the Terms & Conditions of your Geek Squad Protection Plan, an ice maker issue would not qualify the fridge for a swap out, but we do want to make sure we get the repair done. I would be happy to review the repair for you. We will likely need to continue waiting on that part, but I'd be happy to verify.
