Kindle Fire 10 Warranty?

I purchased a Kindle Fire 10 less than a year ago for my girlfriend and it will not hold a charge anymore. She'll leave it charging all night and it will be dead less than an hour after removing the charge cable. I saw there was a one year warranty on all Amazon Fire 10s and was wondering if I need to go through Amazon itself or Best Buy to find out what my options are.

I believe that is one of the products where Amazon wants their customers to go directly through them to get help with their hardware.

Re: Kindle Fire 10 Warranty?

Hi there, CreepyTeddyBear,

Welcome back to our forums!  E-readers really make it easy to enjoy your favorite books from anywhere, and it’s nice not having to worry about keeping various novels in pristine condition while trying to peruse them at your leisure.  Trying to read an entire book in less than an hour is a bit of a feat, though, so I can see why you’d want to look into potential warranty options for your girlfriend’s Kindle Fire.

If you purchased a Geek Squad Protection (GSP) plan for this product, we’d be happy to explore what routes we may be able to take to service your Kindle.  You can schedule a service appointment by phone at (800) 433-5778, or using our online scheduling tool.  On the other hand, most manufacturer warranties last about a year and generally cover any defects not caused by damage.  If you don’t have a GSP plan for your Kindle, I’d recommend contacting the manufacturer for further assistance.

Hope this helps,

Re: Kindle Fire 10 Warranty?

Thank you both. I don't have geek squad for this item. I'll check out Amazon's website.
