Attempting to exercise warranty on defective 2080ti that I bought a year ago with 3 year geek squad warranty.
I need to replace it with an rtx 3080 and re-purchase the warranty. How do I go about doing this? I have been attempting to do this for months now.

Nckhammond is correct, due to the worldwide ship shortage that is affecting stock levels on graphics cards as a whole, you will likely be issued a store credit for your present unit. You can use that to purchase your RTX 3080 when it becomes available. Unfortunately, every time these are made available on BestBuy.com there is a frenzy from a lot of customers to buy them up. It will take diligence and resolve in order to snag one while the manufacturing shortage remains.

Good afternoon, lippmannk1,
Welcome to our forums, and thank you for connecting with us for assistance. I’m glad to hear you purchased a Geek Squad Protection plan (GSP) for your graphics card, as it’s a great way to extend and enhance the manufacturer’s warranty.
It looks like nckhammond and jdogg836 have offered up some great information here regarding how our GSPs are fulfilled, and I hope you’ve found their insights useful. As they’ve mentioned, if you’re having issues with the graphics card you’ve purchased, I recommend scheduling an appointment with the Geek Squad at your local Best Buy store (which you can do here), so they might take a closer look. If it’s determined your graphics card will need to be repaired or replaced, we’ll typically fulfill your graphics card’s GSP by offering a comparable product, or store credit. If you have any other questions regarding how your GSP is fulfilled, you’ll find more information here.
I hope this helps, but if you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Regards,
