Having an HDMI port stop working would be most frustrating, but I'm sure you were relieved to remember you had a Geek Squad Protection (GSP) Plan for the console. These plans should leave our customers feeling confident in their purchase and repair when their devices malfunction, rather than leaving you feeling more frustrated.
Under our GSP terms and conditions, we will typically attempt to repair a product before simply replacing it. This is why your Xbox would need to have been sent out for service. However, I understand being without your console for any time frame may only add to the frustration. At this time, I would encourage you to schedule a drop off at your local store to drop off your Xbox One X for service. I understand this may not be the news you were hoping for when you visited the store or posted here, and appreciate the feedback you've provided.
