Geek squad

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks geek squad is a pathetic excuse of tech support.
I paid them $200 ( joined protection plan) to replace a hard drive on an HP laptop. And transfer files. Maybe 3 hours work. Took a week. I picked up laptop, had a new drive, but absolutely ZERO files. Gave it back to them, a week later, still no files.
If they had customer support, I'd ask for a refund. I am beyond livid, and my wife (her laptop) is even more upset.

Having had to restore several computers, I know that getting assistance with a data transfer is never a bad idea. I can understand your disappointment to see that this wasn't completed.

 

Have you been able to follow up with your local Geek Squad to let them know about this? If not, I would be glad to reach out to them on your behalf to if they can provide some more details on why this data transfer has not been completed.

I have, my wife has. No solution. Some files were eventually installed, but, the most important (pictures) seem to have been deleted.

Though I can understand your disappointment that every file wasn't recovered, I'm glad to hear that you were able to follow up with the Geek Squad to continue looking into this.

You are funny. Next time, I'll just have her wait until I get home. I am better than any geek squad I have ever visited. Most are just one step up from morons.
