Geek squad holding computer hostage and Best Buy not honoring warranty

On July 27th, 2022 I turned my computer into the geek squad because my computer's built in mouse stopped working. The computer is 2 years old but I had purchased a warranty so it wasn't a big deal to get it fixed (or so I thought!). Best Buy returned the computer to me on august 8th but the computer wouldn't turn on. Apparently in fixing the mouse they had broken a piece within the battery plug unit so I immediately returned it to Geek Squad to be fixed (again). Fast forward to present day - I get an email saying they are "waiting on a part" and have no timeline to return my computer to me. This is the exact reason I purchase an additional warranty that cost 1/3 the total cost of the original computer. The warranty states that if the computer cannot be fixed I would be provided one. I am at my wits end doing my work from my phone (I am self employed) and cannot believe the utter disregard Best Buy has for its customers. Has anyone else experienced this type of issue using geek squad when having an additional warranty?

Although, I do wish it were under better circumstances. Considering I use my device daily, I can understand how going without can be a hinderance. We never want our customers waiting, so these part delays are never what we want, but do happen in this day and age.
