Not familiar with geek squad warranties. We purchased a new netgear cm700 router recently and purchased the 2yr extended warranty.
I purchased online and had shipped. My online best buy account says the plan is activated.
I was wondering a few things, becuase I've heard conflicting information.
1. When they activated the service plan, did they also register the serial number and mac?
2. How does it work if something goes wrong with it? Since its under $100 for the item, do they simply give youa credit for the purchase price, or send it out?

1. Some of our Geek Squad Protection Plans, or products, that we sell do have the serial number (or other identifying information scanned) at the time of purchase.
2. If something goes wrong with your router, please bring it into any Best Buy location at your convenience. The exact repair and replacement options can vary. For all the details on that, I would encourage you to check out the Terms and Conditions for your specific plan.
