GSPP Botched TV Repair

Good afternoon,

I'm writing in response to my recent TV repair, service event number {removed per forum guidelines}. My TV was picked up for repair by Ace Electronics Repair in early February under a 5 year GSPP to fix several dying LEDs that were turning purple. Ace Electronics Repair had my TV for a month and returned it in worse condition than when they picked it up.

There is now significant LED bleed through around all of the edges of the screen as well as 4 dead pixels and a fine black line down the screen. The bezel is scratched, dented and attached to the back of the TV with electrical tape. Chunks of black plastic were jammed between the bezel and screen. This is very shoddy workmanship and not the quality that one should expect from a brand like Best Buy or Geek Squad.

I called Geek Squad once about this issue and was told that a different repair company would be in touch. Despite specifically requesting a different company than Ace Electronics Repair, it was Ace that called me later that day - I declined scheduling a pick up. I also emailed the store that I purchased the TV at (store 465) a week ago but have not received a reply.

What are my options at this point? I paid for a 5 year GSPP, was without a TV for a month and ended up with a TV in worse shape a month later. This is honestly unacceptable service. I was a Best Buy employee for almost 15 years and expected much, much better.
