I bought a refridgerator in 2016 from the Best Buy in Burleson, TX in June of 2016. I also purchased a 5yr GSP for $199.99. In September of 2016 I had to exchange this refridgerator because it stopped working properly.
In june of 2019 I went to try and schedule an appt. to have the same refridgerator looked at because it stopped cooling and we lost several food items. I was told at the BB in Burleson, TX that I did not have a GSP on my fridge. I had all receipts with me from the original purchase and the exchange.
We, meaning me and the store customer service person, called Geek squad and talked to someone named Mary after being on hold for well over 20 minutes. Mary told me that I did not have a GSP on my current fridge. I said that I purchased one when I bought the fridge. Mary said that it would take 3-4 days for them to investigate.
I received a copy of only 1 receipt from Geek squad and it was of course one of the receipts I already had.
So long story short according to a store "supervisor" John, I never had a GSP on the exchange I made in Sept of 2016, but yet I purchased a 5yr GSP on the original purchase. I was never told I needed another GSP, nor did I recive a refund for the original GSP I purchased. John said very rudely I may add " We don't transfer GSP's".
So is a GSP one and done meaning you can only use it once? I just want the GSP that I originally purchased so that I can try and get my fride looked at again.

So, how do you know this? Not trying to be rude.
If this was the case, wouldnt they let me know this and offer the GSP again.?
My second second receipt for the replace ment shows the GSP on it, but has a $0.00

Thank you for that information. They are a bunch of crooks as far as I am concerned especially since no one at Best Buy bothered to tell me this. That would of been great info to have 3 yrs ago...

Welcome to the forums!
I appreciate you taking the time to write us about your refrigerator. When you have a Geek Squad Plan, they will try to fix the issue first, and if they can’t fix it, then we might be able to replace it. As nckhammond mentioned, if it is replaced, the contract is considered fulfilled. Once the contract is considered fulfilled, you will need a new plan to cover the new refrigerator. You can get more information regarding the plan you had here.
I am happy to look into this to make sure there was no other GSP, and get this documented for you, as this will allow the training opportunities that may be available at your local Best Buy to be properly addressed. Please, private message me with your full name, phone number, and e-mail address connected to your BestBuy.com account. To send it click on the “Private Message” button next to my signature. I look forward to hearing from you.

I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ITEM FROM BEST BUY. I will gladly pay 2-3x the price to avoid coming into the burleson Tx best buy store. You are not willing to admit that you made a mistake by not offering me another gsp on the fridge I had to replace 3 months after I purchased it nor are you even willing to try and work with me now. The only thing you can say is "We will use this situation as a learing/training tool in the future".
You are a $25 billion a year company and won't even try to work with your customers. Now I see why you're a $25 billion company. You screw the consumers over..

As I said in the private message I will no longer do business with best buy. Please do not contact me unless your company is willing to rectify this situation. And no, you do not understand where I am coming from.
