I have a refrigerator and when purchased by an older couple they were told that 3 year GSP that they are purchasing kicks in after the manufacturers waranty expired.
Called today about an issue and they say that the warranty already expired 3 years after Purchase date, When I refered them to the terms and conditions that were given to the purchaser (as well as can be found online at http://storage.bestbuy.com/geeksquad/terms/gs_protection_plan/gsp_2014_10_26_to_2015_09_12_v9_englis...) section 3 clearly says that for any issues covered by the manufacturers warranty the GSP starts at the expiration of the manufacturers waranty.
When calling Geek squad they say they cannot create a work order since the GSP shows expired.
When they transfer to a supervisor, after a wait I get a regular employee who says they are not a supervisor and they tranfer me again only to get the same thing...
Tried calling a number of times!.
It seems the older couple who bought the refrigerator from best buy were taken advantage of by being sold the extended warranty...
This is definitely not ok...
We plan to file a formal complaint about this if I cannot get this resolved on my next attempt to take care of this over the phone...

Greetings, netzih!
Welcome to the forums!
I appreciate you taking the time to share their experience with this refrigerator. Having a Geek Squad Protection Plan to cover your purchases is supposed to make these types of situations simple. Let me look into this further for them. Please, have the purchaser private message me with their full name, phone number, address, and e-mail address connected to their BestBuy.com account. I appreciate you taking the time to write us about this.
To send a private message, please click the button at the bottom of my post. I look forward to hearing back from them so I can continue reviewing this for them. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Sincerely,
