GEEK SQUAD INCOMPETENCE

My first complaint was not posted because it hit too close to home for Best Buy moderators. The Geek Squad is a joke and a waste of money. The only thing they know how to do is put a disk in and install software and they can't even do that correctly. They ruined my Acer desktop when they put Windows 10 on it because my computer didn't have enough memory to run it, let alone the huge updates and my computer overheated when it tried to do it. When I returned it for repair, they ruined it completely and finished it off. Thier excuse was that my computer was old anyway and I needed a NEW one, just like I needed the new Windows 10 that my computer couldn't run.  When I gave them my external drive to fix, they literally burnt the hard drive and gave it back to me in pieces in a plastic bag. I have pictures. I will never buy another computer from Best Buy or trust their incompetent Geek Squad to my electronics. I noticed that all the complaints are basically the same. The Geek Squad is rude, condensending, slow and incompetent.  They create the illusion that they're important by forcing you to make a RESERVATION just to talk to them, like your in a doctor's office or something. They make you WAIT and then do nothing. It seems their only job is to get you to pay them to tell you they can't do anything except suggest you buy a new computer, external drive or whatever you bring to them for repair.
