I purchased an open box macbook air on 09/02/2020 Order {removed per forum guidelines}. I was told that open book laptops had a 1 year warranty. The laptop started acting up about a month ago and my wife brought the laptop back to best buy / geek squad on 05/06/20 for service. They said it was the logic board and it was under warrenty. Today I recieved an email stating the repair will cost $853.84 (service #{removed per forum guidelines}), which is more than a new macbook!!

I spoke with a few agents and the manager has changed the status of the repair from MFG Warranty to COD. I guess my next step is to talk to the manager. I wish they had just said: Go to the Manufacturer.
