Fridge error code


We have an insignia side by side model number NS-RSS26SS0 and are getting the error code EP. It started with some beeping and when I went to the fridge I saw EP but the beeping stopped when I pressed a button. It seems like it might be an issue with the ice maker as it has a clicking noise when the ice was trying to be made. I removed some ice and some frozen chunks and that sound seems to have stopped but the error code remains. I checked the manual and I am not seeing an EP error code. Can you let me know what this error code could be and how to fix the problem?

Thanks for visiting our online community. When a major appliance displays an error, I certainly understand why that would be a cause for concern. Based on what you’ve described, it is quite possible this may be related to the ice maker. When referencing the manual, I also did not see that particular error code listed. I’m glad to hear the actions you took seem to have resolved the problem. It may be possible for an expert to diagnose the error over the phone.
