Basic background:
We purchased all appliances through Bestbuy with Total protection assuming it will be peace of mind in case of any issues, so wrong was to think that way.
Fast forward to the issue - we have Bosch Dishwasher caused leakage damaging floor of the kitchen. Ignored the floor damage since it is not Bestbuy/Geeksquad fault.
1. We call in Geeksquad and they schedule someone to inspect. Nice person comes in checks everything and informed this is something he has seen with top end Bosch Dishware and they need to replace this part.
2. Delivery of part will take couple of days, but quickest way would be to have it delivered at your home and call us as soon as it gets in so I will try squeeze you into our schedule otherwise 7 days later he had scheduled us. ( Felt good to hear )
3. Two days later received parts and we called, was told he has no flexibility to come in early. Alright accepted.
4. Comes the Tuesday, day before appointment we get call the person is ill and appointment is cancelled. Next appointment 7 days later on next wednesday. ( Are you serious only 1 person is working? So something to be fixed in 2-3 days changed to 7 days to now 2 weeks )
5. Today the new technician comes in and we hand over the parts. He starts to work
- Takes zero precaution to ensure no visual damage occurs on outer stainless steel. We now have bunch of scratches on the door panel on top. We had zero scratch before.
- He takes no precaution to ensure water does not go into the electrical panel and after replacing the fault part, he asks us for hair blower to try electric panel.
- Tells us it is working and we didn't verify on the screen, he left. We want to start the dishwasher and it clearly shows Fault error on the screen and does not turn on.
- We call him back, does not answer obviously. Reached out to customer support , they had him call back and he now says we need to order electrical panel to replace. The part which had no problem until now is damanged with his own work.
- So again waiting 2-3 days for parts to come in, than we have to call to schedule again and no guarantee it is going to work after that either.
- Manager calls in and has zero customer service either, does not say apologize about scratches caused by his technician and rather questions if we are sure? Seriously.
- One thing you will need to understand Geeksquad policy will never give you replacement. Same part needs to fail 3 times before they will replace. Basically their technician can keep damanging or finding different faul parts and we can go on with non-functional Dishwasher for 6months.
We are clearly done with ever buying from bestbuy.
