Welcome to Best Buy's online community.
A sound bar and sub can bring a lot of audio power to your entertainment. Therefore, I understand how disappointing it can be when it turns off all of a sudden. There are some basic troubleshooting tips I can share with you to see if it helps solve the issue.
The first one is to unplug the soundbar from the electrical socket, allowing it to be unplugged for about 15 seconds and then reconnecting. Still experiencing the issue, try to go through the equipment connections and make sure nothing is loose.
It can be very tough to diagnose something without taking a clear look at the connection, so my final recommendation will be to contact either Definitive Technology or Geek Squad to have someone come out to your home and help you get the most out of your audio equipment.

My definitive technology solo cinema XTR, sound bar just started doing the same thing. It’s two years old and performed well, but then lately it would cut all sound. Turning it off and then on would get sound back. Now it’s much worse. I can get ten minutes, sometimes thirty mins, sometimes two minutes, and it cuts all sound. The input lights shows the same, but no sound. On initial startup it can take a dozen on off cycles for it to finally get sound. Now I leave it on all the time even with the tv off. Solves the initial no sound problem, but not the intermittent problem.
No more warranty. Expensive and going to the dump now.

Uh-oh! That is definitely not normal nor how we'd expect your sound bar to operate. So that I can see if I can assist further, could you inform me on how old your sound bar is and if you opted into our Geek Squad Protection plan?

Gotcha! If the item is still within the 1 year manufacturer warranty then they should be able to assist with the issues you are facing.
