I took my iphone XR which was in great condition to Best Buy Wilmington NC to replace the battery. The battery was working, but I wanted a new battery that would last longer. When I went to pick up my iphone at Geek Squad Desk in Best Buy Wilmington NC, the technician said that my device is not booting. Then she said my device is permanently dead! She blamed it on the age of my iphone which was only 4 years old. I told her my iphone was working when I dropped it off and she started to talk rudely. Anyways, I am disappointed that Geek Squad technicians are allowed to destroy a customer's iphone and then blame it on the phone itself! I hope Apple has a process in place to de-certify technicians like the one I encountered. The technician told me since I signed a consent form when I dropped off my phone, she is not responsible for it and I just need go to buy a new phone! I don't believe it is legal to treat a customer like this. Also the pre diagnostic of my phone clearly showed there was nothing wrong with it. All I wanted was a newer battery, and the Geek Squad failed at replacing the battery and in the process killed my iphone. I would like to receive a replacement iphone for the device that I lost.
