And there is a difference between manufacturers warrenty and Best Buys Service Plan. If one did not purchase Best Buys service plan then the customer needs to work with the manufacturers on warrenty.
However, no plan offered by manufacturers or Best Buy will cover theft.

As you’ve already mentioned that a product was stolen, I’ll be happy to address that concern. @bobberuchi is correct that theft is not something that is covered under a Geek Squad Protection Plan (GSP). In my experience, manufacturer warranties do not cover theft either. If you have had a product stolen, I would advise your best course of action would be to contact your local law enforcement to report the issue.
As for your concerns about an issue with a product that was not covered under warranty, can you please let me know whether you were seeking a claim through a GSP or a manufacturer warranty? Please also let me know a little more about the situation. What was the product? What was the issue experienced? Were you advised why the claim was denied?
