I had a issue where my HP Envy dv6 ( 4 years old) has fan issues. Geek Squad won't fix it. I am geek squad customer. They mentioned they can try sending it but it will cost me possibly 300 to resolve.
All they do is install softwares , take backups and few things here and there.. This is waste of $$ for people who already are aware of how to ffx small issues.
Why will someone want to pay 150+ to get this done in this age, They really need to start revising their hardware teams.
On asking the rep, she mentioned if I have another newer laptop or ipad issue, she can help.. but why will someone have issues with newer laptop.
I am a very unhappy customer.

O! yea, and they need a laptop bought from yesterday to service? That scenario won't happen ever.
So best buy geek squad is better off installing anti-virus and screen protectors for the plan and good for nothing else.

I am a geek squad customer if you didn't catch that in my message. Now why will best buy not fix the hardware issue ? Answer provided b y geek squad: They are too scared to open up and cause another damage. If they are too scared then it is better they install softwares and ani-virus . The plan I took deserves more than that.. I should be refunded.
