I bought a Samsung washer and dryer in July 2016 along with a 5 year Geek Squad Protection Plan. After getting the washer serviced 5-6 times, I recieved an email that my GSP plan had reached it's max benefit:
The costs to repair your product have now reached your plan's maximum benefit amount. This means the terms of your plan have been fulfilled and your Geek Squad® Protection Plan coverage has ended.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! You sell me a faulty washer that's almost always broken and now the 5 year protection plan that I PAID FOR is cancelled??????????
I called the Geek Squad 800 number and they say there's nothing they can do.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

This does fall in line with the terms and conditions of the Geek Squad Protection plan that you purchased. You can see the T&C here:
Under section 14, III it provides this information for you:
"OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS PLAN SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF YOUR COVERED PRODUCT INCLUDING TAXES."
Once it reaches that point, the coverage you purchased is considered fulfilled. Similar to dental or medical insurance, it does have a max benefit.
As the washing machine is produced in the same line as all other units of that model, destined for many different retailers, Best Buy has no way of knowing which units are faulty in advance. That is the reason we offer the protection, any repair done that is outside of, or not covered by the manufacturer warranty would have been out of pocket. I wish there was a better solution out there. One of the moderators will be by shortly to provide an official response, it could be a few days as there is greater than normal traffic this time of year.

I certainly understand that Geek Squad (Best Buy) puts a limit on the amount of coverage they want to give a certain appliance in the Protection Plan. So does Best Buy have a "lemon policy" in which they will replace my washer since I have had SO many issues with it and the Protection Plan has been exceeded????
