Recently purchased a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 from Best Buy. I went into Best Buy with the device 3 weeks after purchase to buy the warranty as it seemed fragile and would like just in case i were to drop it or something. They told me that i could not buy the warranty as it was slighlty out of the 14 day period even though i had the device in hand and it was in perfect condition. I understood there was a 14 day return/exchange policy but did not know i could not purchase the warranty only 3 weeks out from buyng it.

Is it typical for Best Buy to deny a customer the purchase of a warranty with these circumstances?

Good morning, bcoop47,

Thank you for taking the time to stop by our community forums. A Geek Squad Protection plan is a great thing to have, especially on something like a laptop that gets moved around quite a bit. I'd be glad to provide some additional details on our Return & Exchange Promise and the process of adding this plan after making your purchase.

While we do offer a 15-day return or exchange period for most of the products we sell, a Geek Squad Protection plan can typically be added up to 60 days after your purchase. I'd like to reach out to your local Best Buy to get some more details on why they were unable to help you add this plan.

Which store location did you visit? Do you remember the name of the associate you spoke to? I'd also like to review your purchase information and will need a bit more information in order to take a look at this. Can you please send me a private message that includes your:
