Awaiting my 3rd LG dishwasher service apptmnt, with dishpan hands

My LG dishwasher is under original warranty. It stopped working on Feb 9.

 

I called BB/a&e factory service for warranty service and received notice of an appointment on Feb 11. 

 

It was then changed by a&e, to Feb 20, between 8am and 12pm. I was told that was the next available appoinment depiste the previous appointment that had been set. Feb 20 came and went, no service person called nor showed up. 

 

When I called a&e at 1pm that day, I was advised my appointment was changed to Mar 3. Since that is the same time as my first Covid vaccine shot appointment, it had to be moved to March 6 between 1pm and 5pm.

So, after the LG dishwasher crashed a month ago, my spouse and I have been handwashing dishes. Everybody is at home, since we are in lockdown due to Covid. That would be 4 people times 3 meals a day, being handwashed. Needless to say, there is friction in the house and I am being blamed for your inablity to stand by your warranty. 

 

When I expressed my displeasure to a&e customer service on Feb 20 (in Philipines?, Malaysia? Burma?), your agent could only respond to me using a prearranged script and would/could not assure me that this third appointment would be met by your staff.

 

As a Best Buy Elite member, I am very disapppointed with your follow-through. How can you restore my confidence in Best Buy?Get it fixed or replace it.

Did it go well?

 

Uh, noo, not at all. The 4th appointment for servicing was also a no-show. That's now 5 appointments that were postponed by Best Buy, 3 of which the service person did not show up.

 

So from Feb 8 when it broke down, we now have to wait until mid March for s servce person who MAY NOT show up.

 

Unacceptable. 

 

I will be taking all my documentation to the local Best Buy Store Manager to see how this can be rectified because lack of follw through on the warranty. Either recplace the dishwasher or provide a ull refund of the purchase price.

 

As a Best Buy Elite member, I am very disappointed.

Thank you for sharing this update. I am very sorry to learn the Geek Squad Authorized Service Provider did not arrive, as it was confirmed the appointment was properly scheduled. RESOLVED:Awaiting my 3rd LG dishwasher service apptmnt, with dishpan hands

FYI: I went to the local Best Buy store and explained the Service we have been having for over a month. They kicked it upstairs to their Management.

 

Within an hour, I had an emeail fron the Retail Sles team indicating they would exchange my dead dishwasher for a new replacement due to the Service Delays. I paid the difference in retail price between the one I selected and the previous machine. Installation/removal costs were waived.

 

We're good and you can close this case file.

 

May have to do dishes by hand for awhile, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
