I wasn't able to find a firmware update on Westinghouse's support page for the model you purchased, so I'm thinking the next best thing is to have it looked at. If you purchased the Geek Squad protection, it would be worth bringing it in for service. Fret not, if you stuck with just having the manufacturer's warrantee you should be covered until July of 2019 based on your date below. They can be reached at 1(800) 701-0680.

Thanks for joining us at the Best Buy Community forums. I’m sorry to hear that your television is having issues playing audio. Having the sound cut out like that would annoy me to no end.
Most television will come with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty. You could reach out to Westinghouse support directly, here. They may be able to offer a repair.
Alternatively, we could see if it’s something we can repair directly. You’d just need to set up a reservation to visit the Geek Squad here. You can bring the TV in, we’ll check it out, and see if it qualifies to be sent to a service center.
