After Only 67 Days - New Insignia Refrigerator (NS-RTM18WH7) Stopped Working

I purchased a new Insignia Refrigerator (NS-RTM18WH7) for $600.  It stopped working after 67 days and I lost $100+ of refrigerated food.  Tried to return the refrigerator to BestBuy and got no where.  Got no sympathy and feel cheated.  Was told that I could not return after 15 days unless I purchased extra warranty.  If the refigerator was a quality product I would not need to purchase extra warranty!  Expected refrig to last longer than 67 days!!!  Was told that I will have to schedule an appt for a technician to come investigate.  How long will this take?  Intial appt??  Time to order/receive parts??  Time to return to my home to install parts and hope that it works?? 

 

In the mean time, I have a refigerator I cannot use!  Very unhappy with my purchase & Best Buy experience!

 

BestBuy ... Pls make this right!!

I appreciate you reaching out to us here on the Best Buy Forums regarding your recent refrigerator purchase. It is never ideal to have a major appliance quit working, especially one so recently purchased. I can understand your concern and frustration with this, and I'd like to help out.

 

Scheduling a service ASAP is the best way to get this fixed sooner rather than later, and an installer should have a better timeframe for parts and future scheduling questions.  That said, I'd like to document this experience as well as see what else I could do to help.
