ASUS Laptop

I own an ASUS Laptop model q534UXK, I like to game on it but it is a little hard when the A key on the keyboard pops off, after multiple repairs now I can't even get the key to go back on, I have tried looking online for replacement keys for the model but no website had this model, some help would be nice.

Re: ASUS Laptop

Hi, Isaac182213,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having troubles with your ASUS laptop. Having the “A” key fall off certainly would be annoying when trying to do anything.

May I ask when you purchased your laptop? ASUS should offer a one year manufacturer warranty which may provide some options for you. Even when outside of warranty, if you’ve been unable to find replacement keys on other websites, ASUS may still sell replacement parts to their customers if you’re able to do repairs yourself. In my experience, manufacturers only make replacement parts for their products for a limited time, so this option would depend on them still manufacturing replacement keys. You can find ASUS’s phone number on our manufacturer contact information page here.

Otherwise, did you purchase a Geek Squad Protection Plan (GSP) for your ASUS? Depending on your plan, there may be options for Geek Squad repair. If you don’t have a plan, you could still make a reservation online here to have one of your local agents take a look. I hope this helps, but please let me know if you have other questions I can help with here.

Thank you,

Re: ASUS Laptop

Pretty sure on those Asus models you are supposed to replace the entire top, palm rest and everything, just the part alone is generally 150-200$. You can get the keyboard by itself via Ebay usually shipped from China, but it is held onto the palm rest by a bunch of plastic rivets that you have to break off and then there is no way to install the new keyboard with the exception of epoxy.
