I have noticed several of the gaming computers on the site just have a general model information and not the actual model from that company that best buy is selling for. For example:

the cyberpower PC series "revolt" there are several versions of the revolt with different specs however it is hard to find actual reviews that are not on the site due to this.

I have been remarking on this quite a lot when I get the surveys from Best Buy.  They really need to work on product details and consistency across the board.

I'm not sure why the manufacturer's model number is not being listed, and I would like to hear from other customer's if they have noticed the same thing? Remember to vote for an idea if you like it.

As a high end technology lover I just love the newest products out, I find it wonderful how much smaller and smaller items get. I was looking at purchasing a revolt slim tower to see what it was about when I noticed this on all of the cyberpower's.

IBUYPOWER does not list the model number as far as I can tell (it does like bb#'s)

Cyberpower I know it does NOT show the model number what soever

I almost purchased an iBuypower from BB.  However, I did find that it seems iBP is making special builds just for BB and you will not be able to compare them to other places.   MSI however as one of the other high end gaming computers they carry are making the same builds for BB as they do for other retailers and you can easily locate the model numbers and easilty compare

Went to MSI website just from a quick look it appears they are mostly focused on gaming laptops. Really looking for a tower/desktop

Correct MSI is more into Laptops.  Check out the iBuyPower machines.  I think they are big into towers.  My concern with iBuyPower was how exceptionally poor their customer service was on a presale.

IF I could have come up with a solution to were I was going to game I would have went with a tower.

Much easier to upgrade and generally a lot more bang fof your buck.

that's the problem though. I would very much likely buy an ibuypower but I can't research reviews on the different models cause there is no model number.

The macines that iBP make for BB are just for BB.

What I ended up doing was creating an Excel Spreadsheet that looked similar to the Compare option on BB.  I put in the manufcturers models and BB models and compared apples to apples.

I was really interested in the Valkyries and they have 3 builds.  and those 3 are different in little way from the ones BB carries.
