Because of how long it has been taking to recieve these coupon packs & most people are trying to time the coupons with the right sale BB should have them avail. in-store for purchase when you become unlocked. Cross promote the coupons along with the weekly ad & make sure your game reps are aware that way unlocked memberships will increase as a result of the exposure. If a person can make use of the program on day 1 when spending $15 upfront then the chances of them joining increase.

 

If BB were to sponsor special coupons packs that would also be avail. in-store this would generate instant revenue from the sponsers, increased sales & increase unlocked memberships as well.

 

Make it so BB make it so.

Can you please stock this item from Belkin ? Launched in October and still not in stock on BB. Very popular item. Amazon had it and sold out. Belkin is selling on their portal. I would rather purchase from BB. You do have 30W option in stock but I need 60W to charge my Macbook pro. Also I dont need any other brand but Belkin.

Why does BB allow users to review items that haven't even been released?  Take a look at the preorder games and most already have a few reviews.  What is the point of that?  User reviews are supposed to be a usefull tool for the consumer to judge if they want to buy something or not.  When you allow reviews to be posted on something nobody possibly has any hands on time with you devalue the entire review and star rating system.

I did hear back on this, and although this isn't changing at this time, it could sometime down the road.

I was wondering if there was any way to implement a filter to hide the used video games that are not available for shipping.  3,400 games at 50 games per page takes an extremely long time to click through, especially when the majority of the games say they are not available for shipping.

 

A checkbox under "Narrow Your results" that says "In Stock For shipping" and pulls all the BBY.com in-stock items would be greatly helpful and would most likely boost sales from others who also dread scrolling through all 68 pages of used games.

You`ve increased the cost of GCU from $30 for 2 yrs to $120 but you decreased the value in the welcome coupons. Doesn`t really make sense does it? You should be INCREASING the valiue of EVERY ASPECT of GCU not decreasing or eliminating key perks/benefits. Basically, you`re giving us a bionic body but not putting fingers on the left hand & no right foot. Most people would prefer their regular non-bionic body vs this "upgraded" option.

 

 

However, this is an easy fix you need to make the coupons unique, diverse, valuable & consistantly tempting. Here`s how;

1- You need staple couples that will entice ALL types of gamers- B2G1 on used, B2G1 on new, 50% off a game guide, 10% off PSN/XBL/PS+/Steam, 50% off 1 used game, extra 40% bonus trade in credit, 3X RZ point booster on 1 game purchased during release week, $25(1250 RZ pts) w/purchase of $250 on gaming, 5X RZ pts booster on all games/accessories when purchased with a system & a 15% off birthday coupon. These should be valid for 1 yr & a new set should generate for the 2nd yr of GCU. They should be available in-store at the time of purchase or by email the choice of the customer.

 

2-You need 12 unique coupons(1 per month) sort of use em or lose monthly enticement coupons. These will get you loyal customers. And a new set of 12

Per the Gamers Club Unlocked team this idea will not be put into place.

It would be awesome if Best Buy Stores will stop putting price tags on the DVD/Blu-ray sleeves as they are a major pain to remove without ripping the sleeve apart. When ordering movies from sites online (including Best Buy.com), the price stickers are never on the sleeves. Other stores sometimes have stickers on the sleeves as well but they are nowhere as hard to remove as the Best Buy one. Another electronic retailer, Fry's Electronics, puts their price tags on the plastic shrink wrap of a movie instead of the sleeve which I think is an amazing idea when I found out about it. It's just a pain if someone has a movie collection and there's a giant price tag on it that can't be removed

Best Buy Supporting Apple Pay

Today I was informed that Best Buy will not support Apple Pay at its retail locations. I am disappointed with your decision to not take Apple Pay. Please reconsider this, as the people who will use Apple Pay are the customers that we need. (Younger tech-centric crowd) These are the people that are ready to start shopping locally to have things instantly instead of waiting on shipping from online retailers. Now they just have another excuse to not come to our stores. Even if we just got them to come in once to buy something and use Apple Pay, I believe that they would see the 'New Best Buy' and realize that we are a valuable resource for their future purchases.<br><br>Goal of this. Enable Apple Pay at Best Buy locations. It is just prolonging the enevitable, wireless payments.

Because of the amount of deals BestBuy has had it can be very difficult to keep up thus I always check CAG(CheapA$$Gamer.com) to see what's going on. I'm a very active member there as I am also active on the BestBuy forums page & I think this would benefit all those involved. So it's a "WIN WIN WIN"

 

BestBuy Wins

Because the deals are far more visible than just the weekly ad thus more sales more $

Errors/mistakes that occur can be correctly quickly & that will cut down on the number of angry customers that miss a deal

With more sales & more $ generated BestBuy can provide more deals & promotions based off the larger sales base

Even though the site is for gamers there's also a section for movies & other electronics

Twice a year Bestbuy should reach out to as many current/former/future customers/employees to see how BestBuy can live up to it`s name. Take it seriously and be thorough that way true change can come and have an impact. No other retailer does it which would give credit for caring vs lip service. A group of 50 - 100 questions with sections dedicated to elite/elite plus/GCU. Customers who are already elite/elite plus/GCU should get unique questions based of the programs there in and what status they are.

 

For example: A silver elite member should be asked

1- What should be added

2- What should be ended

3- What does work well

4- What doesn`t work well

5- What can we(BB) do to keep you

6- What could cause us to lose you

Obviously, email would be the main way to go about acquiring the info but the questions could be sent with coupon packs designed to generate sales.

Offer 100 RZ points for complete surveys but special offers if completed in the store.

300 RZ points if the complete survey is turned in w/a $30 purchase

300 RZ points + 2X RZ points on a purchase of $75

500 RZ points + 2X RZ points on purchases of $100

500 RZ points + 3X RZ points on purchases of $150

Is there a way that Elite and Elite Plus could have a "product notification" option? So far, being Elite or Elite Plus hasn't really had much benefit.


Of course I'm talking about popular and (usually) "out of stock" items (current hot PS5, XBX, RTX 30xx).

 

It just seems to be a pretty basic option that all customers should enjoy, Elite or not. BB can certainly "Beta" test on Elite customers, I'm OK with that. XD

Early access for Elite Plus Members

Being an Elite Plus member since it's implementation, I have enjoyed the benefits of early access Black Friday. However, the event itself has been a struggle at times with site freezing/crashing due to online congestion. I have missed out on some items over the years due to these problems. I was also disappointed that Elite and Plus members were allowed to invite 3 (Non Elite) people to participate in the early access event. I understand that this was meant as a perk but, it really diminished everything that Elite & Eite Plus members have done to reach this status. On top of that, it only added more congestion to the website on early access day.

 

I have a few suggestion:

 

1) Cancel the 3 invites to people that haven't earned Elite status.

 

2) Reward your Elite Plus members with an earlier access than Elite members. If even for a few hours, this would lower the congestion to the website during the regular event PLUS, show appreciation to your customers who reach the highest loyaly status.

 

3) Even though there are some GREAT deals during the early access BF event, there is always a shortage of new or big ticket items. I would love to see a couple deep discounted 4K TV's (65" or 55"), Curved TV, Apple (w/gift cards) e.t.c

I see that we have launched our early access sales as of 11/12/2014, and these sales are for both Elite and Elite Plus members. I don't see that have allowed Elite and Elite plus members to invite non-Elite/Elite plus members this year. There should be plenty of good deals in these events.

With GCU's sub fee increasing so much & the continued processing errors with the 10% I'd like to see BB return to striving to provide the best they can offer. When the dedicated game reps were there with the trade in counters trades went smoother & faster plus you weren't in the same line as returns/exchanges. The cost issue can be negated by having the areas partly subsidized between advertisements & a "Powered by ___________" partnership. You're already providing some of the best trade in values out here but the entire process of getting thru the trades is less than adequate.

The 24/7 Elite customer service line is not helping anyone and only frustrating customers  The line is limited to My Best Buy program questions only, which include the following as stated; 

 

*  Points Balance

*  Reward History (Last 5+ transactions)

*  Certificate Status

*  Attach Missing Points

*  Points needed to next certificate

*  Spend needed to reach next tier level

 

Who has urgent questions about points balances, certificate status or spending amounts at 3:00am in the morning?  All of these issues can be resolved during the day.  The forums and moderators are already an excellent option to resolve anything related to these issues.  

 

If keeping the 24/7 hotline and spending resources to maintain it then make it worthwhile so customers really appreciate it.   Time sensitive items such as; Price Matching (we do shop at 3am in the morning!), questions on products or shipping/order status inquiries should be accessible.   

 

If not able to provide help for these issues then get rid of the whole thing and replace it with a new perk that is actually usable to customers.  

 

I'm not sure maybe I'm wrong.  I would like to see if there are any figures showing how many customers have been helped by the 24/7 hotline.  I'm assuming it is very costly to keep up such a service.  I would hate hotline reps losing their position but move them to something else or give them access to resolve issues that really matter and/or are time sensitive.

Pretty sure $10 offers are done for the 2014 release slate but 2015 should provide a new set of amazing titles. MKX should be either added to the $10 pre-order/purchase list or a $10 instant giftcard promo. Several of the last MK games had good BB promos attached would love to see the trend continue.

Casio just published a new camera Casio Tr200.  Many of my friends want to buy this camera, but we cannot find it in Best Buy.  Can Best Buy provide this camera for us to shop?  We will love to see that !!

RZ Points for Customer Survey

Best Buy has a Customer Survey at the bottom of every reciept that offers "a chance for a $5000 shopping spree".  Honestly most people won't take the survey for a chance at something.  Most other companies offer something of true value (Food places offer free small food items or a small discount, some stores offer a $$ discount on next purchase.)

 

I would suggest offer RZ points for a completed survey instead of the "chance" at a shopping spree.  It would build value towards your brand (My Best Buy) and give customers something they can actually use.  Obviously you can prevent abuse by limiting the amount of surveys per day/week/month that award points due to the requirement of having be attached to a My Best Buy account.

 

It doesn't have to be a lot, 20-50 points may be good enough per survey.  Most companies are putting value in these surveys so this benefit would drive awareness as well.

At this time we will not be moving ahead with this idea. The closest thing we do is give My Best Buy points to customers that post approved product reviews on BestBuy.com.

This is probably a long shot, but here goes:

 

Best Buy is the leader in consumer electronics but the technologies that Best Buy utilizes in its stores suggest anything but. If Best Buy wants to be the leader in technology and showcasing it to customers you need to commit to it fully by investing in supporting infrastructure:

 

(1)  Better WiFi bandwidth and infrastructure in-stores. My closest Best Buy is located in a rock quarry. Simply put, cell phone signals don't exist. When employees activate phones, they have to go outside and up the side walk to get reception so you rely heavily on WiFi, which is atrociously slow in this store. Whether it be mobility, home automation, home theater, etc. Everything that is big in technology right now requires significant WiFi to work and as such, Best Buy should provide significant WiFi bandwidth to give its' employees the capabilities to demo these solutions to customers, effectively. 

 

(2) Update/refresh kiosks and registers. It still amazes me to see these clunky registers all over Best Buy (my local Best Buy store still has beige registers to give you an idea) - meanwhile, I go to the local mall and every other store has eliminated the register space in favor of tablet or phone-based point of sale solutions.  I would love to see Best Buy consider giving each department several tablet-based point of sale units and maybe keep registers up front only for cash-based transactions. This would create a better shopping experience for customers and employees alike and force Best Buy to update their antiquated POS software - if you've ever been in a Best Buy store when a register goes down, I need to say no more, but it takes an embarrassingly long amount of time for the systems to restore and they do go down quite a bit. Yes, this would be a sizable investment, but if help desk tickets went down as low as even 25%, there's a significant ROI on this too.

We should already be providing our stores the fastest possible WiFi available in their area, and the real problem is most likely the sheer number devices connected to each store's WiFi.

 

We did recently upgrade our Point of Sale Systems.
