The language type for laptops are typically US style or Bililingual. These defer in the laptop key sizes, position, and short cuts to access special characters. This can be very fustestering for users that are not used to different type of keyboard than the US ones. Unforuntately, there does not seem to be any way to filter those results but rather having to click on each laptop and check the keyboard language requirements manually.
Of all the years I've been on the forums I've seen all the cool innovations that Best Buy have sold under their Insignia and Dynex brands. Especially with tablets, foldable laptops and other cool electronics. As I look at other retailers today they have their own brand name of budget electronics which are high quality, the same as Best Buy did a long time ago. I think this would give consumers a larger buying power to choose Best Buy brands over the leading brand names and it would mean only good things for them.
With our wallets growing ever thicker, it would be phenomenal to add my Best Buy Credit Card to Apple Pay! One less card to carry around and always on me.
It's nice to be able to look up the card at Best Buy, but what if I want to use it outside of Best Buy? Apple Pay to the rescue!

I have read about TotalTech for the $199 per year price tag and it has some pretty strong points on what it offers. However that price point is really steep and unless you purchase a LOT of stuff from Best Buy, it can seem expensive.
Competitors such as Walmart and Amazon have monthly subscriptions that get you free 2 day shipping on everyday items. I do shop at Best Buy from time to time but unless you have a certain amount for qualifying items, buying a small item with the shipping fee can add up.
I would gladly pay $14.99 per month for a modified version of Total Tech.
Instead of yearly subscribers that get 60 days, monthly subscribers would get 30 days to return a product. Also some features of the membership would be reduced from what yearly subscribers get. And monthly subscribers would get free standard shipping on all items on Best Buy.
The free shipping would tempt me to shop much more at Best Buy for the everyday small computer items I need from time to time. And I would not have to worry about a dollar figure minimum to qualify for free shipping.
I think it would be nice to see Best Buy have an enhanced shipping option for things like Steel Books. So many of them seem to get damaged in transit.
Perhaps for $5 more they could ship them in a box that is sized for this kind of thing.
Considering the fact that the Steel Books are a free ad on and BB does not make any profit on them it would need to be a charge to upgrade the shipping.
When people purchase digital delivery for games the codes should be sent out when physical games are sent out, or at least 2 days before scheduled release.
Part of the source of the issue is the presence of physical media or extras and the system will not allow their release until release day.
Sending out codes would not violate sales with the developer as the game would not be playable or eligible for download until the game client releases it.
More and more games are allowing pre-install of games that will not unlock until they are able to.
Example: Elden Ring has a release date of Friday, February 25th for consol. PC, PlayStation and Xbox owners were able to install the game on Tuesday.
PC players have the ability from the developer to start playing the game on Thursday, February 24th at 5 PM Central Time, or 4 PM Eastern Time etc.
I realize game sales are a very small percent of Best Buys bottom line. But if they don’t take steps to be like the other options for purchase, that percent is going to get smaller and smaller.
Best Buy should start an email verification system when people order digitally delivered products or have not used their account for several months.
There should also be a message that stands out instructing customers to check their email after have made a purchase to verify it went through. This might work in place of a verification system. But there should be something in the email that would typically trigger a SPAM filter.
Quite often there seem to be issues with people receiving their digital versions of games.
There may be a variety of reasons.
There could be a variety of reasons why customers are not getting their digital codes. But these steps could alleviate some of them.
I personally have always gotten my digital codes in email when they were supposed to arrive.
It would be very helpful to all of your customers if you would post an archieve of purchase receipts on our respective online account site. Presently, I am told that you only do this for on-line purchases. How about including store purchase receipts also.
For the heck of it, I decided to search for COVID 19 test on the Best Buy website to see what would come up. Sure enough I saw what I was searching for, however at the bottom of the page, it says similar products outside of Best Buy. I'm not sure why Best Buy has third party ads to begin with and it would be nice to see a clean, distraction free experience without seeing third party advertising. It often leads to browser peformance issues in my opinion.
The iPhone price signs in-store are a point of constant confusion because they only show very specific payment methods, options and options for each model.
I would propose adding the one-time payment options to all models and adding a field for whether the phone is available unlocked (yes or no).
Additionally, when I was looking at printers, I noticed there's a banner at the bottom now that says if the item is in stock or not. This banner could be useful to add to the iPhone signs to callout that additional storage capacities and payment options (i.e. the 30 month device payments on Verizon) can be accessed by scanning the QR code.
As it stands now, it appears (based on the signs) that Best Buy may have only the lower-capacity storage offerings for all devices and/or may offer different payment options for Verizon customers than what may be had at the carrier so implementing these changes (and especially the unlocked) could help signficantly.
I would also recommend changing the verbiage to be uniform across all models - "Upgrade" or "New Line" following each option on the price sign, so for instance (final product):
Banner at bottom: Additional storage and device payment options may be accessed by scanning the QR code.
When I was in the store looking at iPads, I noticed the prices were displayed in columns and it shows these fields:
When you look at the Mac pricing tags, it shows these fields:
With the latest iPads adopting the same hardware as the Macs, I think the average consumer may see more value in the iPads shifting to the same specs as the Macs - i.e. swapping out screen resolution (which in many cases is irrelevant to most consumers since it's proportionate to the screen size) but knowing that the iPad Pros come with 8GB/16GB of RAM versus 3GB on a 9th Generation iPad or 4GB on an iPad Air would be more significant to disclose. Also, standardizing "Storage Capacity" across both signs or whichever verbiage you want to use. My personal experience has been inconsistent verbiage leads to confusion amongst customers.
I found an item cheaper at a competitor and the website makes the process seem painless. This is now day two and chat number three and I have yet to be able to purchase the item because the chat experience within the Best Buy app is not very well executed. The issue is that the customer service rep you're chatting with has to do everything on their end - i.e. apply rewards, etc. This last chat they didn't ask about rewards and I had forgotten to mention I had some certificates to use so when they sent the payment link over there was no way to apply these. When I tried to toggle back to the chat using the back button, it took me back to the Price Match FAQ site and the chat was completely lost. This also happened earlier where they sent me a link and I figured I'd be able to pull it up later and pay when I was not out and about but this was not the case. It seems the "easier" experience is just to go to the store and do everything there.
Best buy should stop using ontrac to ship items, they are terrible, i preordered a game a few years ago, and got it 6 days late from them, being years later i forgot that ontrac does the preorder deliveries, ordered a game that was released on the 19th, and still havent gotten it 5 days later, and their now saying it should come tonight late at night. i think im done preordering from best buy because of ontrac.
