Currently, if the price on a pre-order drops between the time a customer places an order and the time it ships, the customer automatically pays the lowest price. This policy should be adjusted so that the automatic adjustment period extends to the release day of the item.
To ensure the item reaches the customer on release day, it typically ships late during the week before release. The sale price isn't always updated on the website until the release week, after the order has shipped. This can cause customers who pre-ordered to not get the best price unless they call in and ask for a manual adjustment, which is covered.
A customer who pre-orders an item should be guaranteed to get the same price as a customer who walks into a store on release day and buys the same item.
For example, just off the top of my head you could remove Frontlines: Fuel Of War for the PS3 since that was CANCELLED. Not only that but you could remove Destroy All Humans: Path Of The Furon(also PS3) since that was NEVER released in the U.S.
Although I suppose there's an off chance that someone might trade in the version that I believe released in Europe.
Not to mention Demonicon: The Dark Eye, which has a demo box art listed on the value search and that too hasn't even been talked about being released in at least a couple years.
Shall I go on?
It would make searching for actual games that released(and their trade values) much easier.
So how about it?
Not that it'd make a difference for me since your trade values go from $23 on the "high" end down to $7 in the first page(going high to low, 100 per page) and the lack of trade promos and non laughable values have made my trading habits non existent now.
I have recently Pre-ordered a wide variety of games for my Xbox One (over $1000 MSRP worth) at Bestbuy and currently have them all under the same payment type (my bestbuy card).
I think my bestbuy card will be expiring soon now that Bestbuy is switching to Visa cards, meaning my pament type will soon be invalid. There is currently no option to change the payment type for my Pre-orders, and some of them are sold out with no chance of coming back in stock (Black ops 3 Juggernog Edition). So I am really hoping that these orders don't get canceled due to there being no option to change the payment type, Please consider adding this option as it would really come in handy, another great option would be adding the option for a 2nd payment type.
If there is already some way of doing this please let me know.
I want to buy a laptop, and I found the exact one I want on the Best Buy website.
However, right now, it says "Coming Soon" and I can't order it yet.
1. I would like to know HOW SOON this item is going to be coming out (is it days, weeks, months?)
2. I would like to be able to enter my email and get a notification when the item is actually available for purchase on the website.
Also, as a side note, I think it's ridiculous I had to sign up for another login/password to be able to post this message, when I already have a Best Buy login. The two aren't connected at all.
Please see the attached image. Best Buy has some killer deals on PC games for 99 cents. These are some great games! But when I put them in my cart, those shipping prices are outrageous for "clearance items"
Perhaps there should be better pricing on value shipping. By the time I put both of those games in my cart I am paying $6 extra (for shipping) for two games that cost 99 cents. It's hardly a bargain.
Let the customer know that the item is unavailable when it is put in the cart for purchase. I order a lot of stuff on the internet and this always happens on other sites.
I just ordered three of one of your daily specials, reentered my expired credit card, entered my gift certificate numbers and codes, verfied shipping instructuctions, clicked to purchase and only then got a SORRY UNAVAILABLE DUE TO HEAVY DEMAND as the absolute last step. WHAT A DOWNER AND WASTE OF TIME. ONLY item I wanted today, so I had completely wasted my time. This is incredibly inconvenient, I understand that there may be limited quantities, but let me know when I try to purchase it - not at the end of the process. Seems like a no brainer to keep a running inventory against the orders.
I was trying to find an SSD that I purchase from a near by Best Buy store the same day. Unfortunately, after fishing around for a while trying to find one that was in stock in a near by store, I gave up and ordered one from Amazon. I had it the next morning. If there had been a way to limit my search to only items available at stores near me, I would have just gone to the store picked it up. I would prefer to support my local store, but it is currently time consuming and difficult to tell what is actually on the shelf at a particular store.
A common issue that is occuring with the new student deals site, is that a student's school won't appear on the list and seeing as that is a required deal, this makes them ineligble for the savings. A few schools I have seen this with so far: Texas Southmost College, The Art Institute of San Antonio and Houston Baptist University.
There should be a backdoor process where if the school is not on the list, they can still go to the Sheer ID verification site and upload the requested documentation to qualify for the promotion; Otherwise, you risk walking these students to their local campus stores which are also offering student deals and promotions or the OEM's who have also been known to offer Back to School targeted offers to students.
Earlier today I placed an order online for our company and was happy to see a quick eMail stating the store I had specified for in-store pickup was currently closed, and to wait for a follow up eMail that the order was ready for pickup.
About 1:20 later I received this follow on eMail stating the order was ready for pickup at the store. So I drove over only to find it was yet to open for another 45 minutes. So I sat in my car for 45 minutes with nothing to do and trying to support our company from my phone.
You have a great pro-active idea in notifying people but its not being correctly implemented in a way that leads to good customer satisfaction (which I'm assuming is the motive for the notifications in the first place.) If you going to tell people to wait, then tell them its ready, the implication is that they can in fact pick it up if the order is "ready for pickup."
Best Buy's online store is lagging behind other online stores. I can't believe we still don't have a way to change our payment method on Best Buy orders. This should be a given and shouldn't even require discussion or voting. Just do it already, Best Buy. It's 2015. Catch up with your competitors already.
I noticed in this weeks ad (6/14/15) that there are NO Playstation 4 exclusives and theres two XBOX One exclusives. Why is that? There shouldn't be exclusives for one console when you cannot evenly divide them up among consoles. The two exclusives are Tomb Raider and Halo, with having two exlcusives, there should be more Playstation games to choose from or less XBOX games, in my opinion. Best Buy shouldn't discriminate amongst the consoles and list a fair share for each, regardless of title exclusives. So in this case, please add more Playstation games to the roster to supplement those that are exclusive to XBOX. Hope other customers agree.
I was searching for an item on BestBuy.com and found what I was looking for on sale. I added it to my cart and checked out and somehow I ended up on a page where it was recommending products to me (based on my purchase history?) and the exact thing I had just purchased they had a similar item on clearance for 1/2 off. So I tried to go thru and cancel my order because I figured the order was still "pending" and the rewards would go back to me like on competitor sites. This was not the case. Instead I unmasked a huge deficiency in Best Buy's online ordering system that you should fix sooner than later. If an order hasn't even been processed, it should be an instant cancellation so that customer can move on and get what they want. Instead this is now going to drag on over the next few days as I wait for them to cancel the order and (hopefully if they're still available) order the items at the much better price point.
The Best Buy price match guarantee should be updated to include products shipped from and sold by Mac Mall and Adorama. Both Mac Mall and Adorama have aggresssive prices on Apple computers and accessories. Adorama has a sales alliance with Amazon.com in a deal to broaden Amazon's selection of camera products and accessories and both are two growing segments of Best Buy's business (considering the recent influx in installs of new Apple and Camera Experience Shops in local area stores).
It would be great if I could have some sort of application on my Ps4 (or Xbox 1) that lets me either rent or buy physical copies of games. There is already the option to buy digital versions of the games, but I usually prefer to rent them because once I beat them I don't play them anymore. I would like to be able to use my Ps4 to view and rent games that would be mailed to my house. Best Buy definitely has the capability to offer a rental service. I know video game rental services exist, but it would be really beneficial if I could rent games without having to get off my Ps4.
I was searching for external DVD burners today. So naturally I did a search for "External DVD Burner"
Nothing came up! I did 5 different searches and nothing came up. Eventually I found a category called Computer Cards and Components. I never thought to look of it there... and voila! There were plenty of them to be found. Why does it have to be so hard to search? At the end of the day I want to find stuff easy, book mark it for easy access and order it for store pickup the next day when I want to, not jump through hoops.
Hope you understand where I'm coming from.
i have an item in my wish list that is currently backordered 4 to 7 weeks. it would be great to see a "notify me" when the item is in stock and ready for purchase, maybe even a notification sent your phone from the best buy application saying that, "this item is available for purchase!"
i don't know if anyone else has brought up this idea or not, but would be great to see this feature implemented on the website as well as on the smart phone application(s) across iPhone and Android.
hope other customers agree and make this happen! especially around the holiday season.
