This is one of the best promos going & will be even bigger than the 5 for $100 deal last fall but there's quite of few titles missing some big sellers have been forgotten. Other sleeper titles have been left off too but with this credit promo BB can ensure themselves getting a huge share of the pre-orders on these titles. There were a few titles I had to purchase elsewhere b/c they weren't included in the 5 for $100 deal so hopefully these can be added so I can keep my gaming dollars @ BB.

It's the main reason why I choose Best Buy to get all my new releases.

Why has Best Buy taken away points earned for special financing? I made a purchase for $249.99 and never recevied points due to selecting 6-month financing. Why is Best Buy taking away points from its customers and not making the store employees aware of such a policy? This policy is not posted anywhere on the store fronts or by the registers. How is this ethical? Til this policy is made known in the store and online, points should be given to customers accordingly. This now makes me want to cancel everything I have with Best Buy move to buying straight from the manufacturers. Please fix this Best Buy, or show your customers the policy!

With Best Buy being a Electronics/Technology/Media Store, a Customer Service Department dedicated specifically for gaming needs through it Toll-Free Phone Customer Service that deals in only Gaming should be created and established. Since Video Games are always a high selling products and with Best Buy having the Gamers Club Unlocked Program, it would be a way to push it more. This Department could help Best Buy Customers in many ways and help fix problems such as:
Any problems with Pre-Order bonus's or other digital orders/items (EX: Codes not received)
Price Adjustments of video games when best buy lower the price, especially with keeping GCU Discounts in mind on top of the adjustments.
Problems with GCU Activating correctly at purchase or not applying to games correctly
Problems with Pre-Order $10 Certificates not showing up on accounts when they should
Any potential Trade-In Problems
Not receiving Welcome coupons from GCU when signing up
Any Gaming Promos not applying correctly to a order
A big one is also the hassle of dealing with a majority of both phone reps and in store reps who after a year still does not know the in and out of the GCU Program
It will help keep the work off of the Forum mods since a majority of the problems on here are for adjustments problems and also GCU not apply discount right and the normal everyday phone reps and in store reps are giving false or informed information since it not there specific department.

Others customers probably can also input very good reason to make this happen. Especially since due to the normal everyday employees who have not much knowledge of many of best buy special programs especially GCU there is more frustration and problems that the customers must burden with constantly having to keep trying over and over until they get that single employee who is informed.
This is getting a little bit irritating, but 99.9% of the titles for Gamer's Club Unlocked happen to be for 360 and PS3. Sadly, Nintendo titles tend to be left out of this promotion and makes this membership useless if they don't buy 360 or PS3 games. Adding more Nintendo games and extending the promotion to handheld games would boost sales and spread to a bigger audience. Extending it to the 3DS could be a great idea. I know the games cost less, so the promotion could potentially be lowered to $10.

Adding 3DS or Wii U titles to the mix would be enough to make me subscribe. I know a lot of others would too if Nintendo games were added.
Twice a year Bestbuy should reach out to as many current/former/future customers/employees to see how BestBuy can live up to it`s name. Take it seriously and be thorough that way true change can come and have an impact. No other retailer does it which would give credit for caring vs lip service. A group of 50 - 100 questions with sections dedicated to elite/elite plus/GCU. Customers who are already elite/elite plus/GCU should get unique questions based of the programs there in and what status they are.
For example: A silver elite member should be asked
1- What should be added
2- What should be ended
3- What does work well
4- What doesn`t work well
5- What can we(BB) do to keep you
6- What could cause us to lose you
Obviously, email would be the main way to go about acquiring the info but the questions could be sent with coupon packs designed to generate sales.
Offer 100 RZ points for complete surveys but special offers if completed in the store.
300 RZ points if the complete survey is turned in w/a $30 purchase
300 RZ points + 2X RZ points on a purchase of $75
500 RZ points + 2X RZ points on purchases of $100

At least print about them on the reciepts! Store #364 don't have a clue about them and I'm sure the other stores follow suit. I thought companies were supposed to know all about the inner workings of their companies but some do not?
I hope I'm making sense, perhaps integrate the forums experience into part of their training and make them aware that these forums exist and what their purpose is.
Best Buy currently does not have a wedding gift registry. The wedding industry is over a 40 billion dollar industry and Best Buy does not offer a registry for new couples. I am getting married in June 2012 and like most couples my fiance and I already have all kitchen ware and etc that couples use to register for at one point in time. Plus gift registry is for stuff that couples want that they typically can't afford or wouldn't normally purchase. Plus this is a way to tap into the woman market as they are the ones that determine where to register. If Best Buy did offer this, I would have registered. It would be nice to be able to create a registry online where couples can add things that they would want/need and also offer purchase of online gift cards as well for couples if they don't want to purchase something on the registry. This would really tap into a new market because Best Buy offers home appliances and much more (women love) and electronics for men. It's the best of both worlds. Plus let's be honest registries are all wants and what Best Buy offers is wants not needs. I would love a new television or washer and dryer for my wedding. I can buy dishes and sheets on my own...
Other retail sites are offering this for pre-order, can Best Buy get this on the website sooner rather than later for pre-order?
Best Buy has a Customer Survey at the bottom of every reciept that offers "a chance for a $5000 shopping spree". Honestly most people won't take the survey for a chance at something. Most other companies offer something of true value (Food places offer free small food items or a small discount, some stores offer a $$ discount on next purchase.)
I would suggest offer RZ points for a completed survey instead of the "chance" at a shopping spree. It would build value towards your brand (My Best Buy) and give customers something they can actually use. Obviously you can prevent abuse by limiting the amount of surveys per day/week/month that award points due to the requirement of having be attached to a My Best Buy account.
It doesn't have to be a lot, 20-50 points may be good enough per survey. Most companies are putting value in these surveys so this benefit would drive awareness as well.
Bitcoin is gaining a lot of attention throughout the world, especially with the tech community, and I think it makes perfect sense for a company like Best Buy to accept Bitcoin as payment.
A small number of businesses have began accepting bitcoin as payment in the last year and the bitcoin community has responed very positively. Some drive 100 miles or more out of their way to support these businesses that have decided to become some of the first to embrace this amazing currency.
I know that I would begin shopping at Best buy again just to have an excuse to use my favorite currency, and many others would as well.
If you implement it with a service like BitPay which eliminates any risk involved with the volatility of the bitcoin market.
I truly feel there would be huge advantages to being on the early side of this and begin accepting bitcoin before the majority of other businesses do.
I keep seeing promotion after promotion for 3X My BB pts on cameras, cell phones, bladeless fans, dvd pre-orders & washer/dryers but why no love for video game systems. Since we don`t get the 2x My BB on systems thru GCU already at least throw us a bone with a 5x pt promo. And I say 5x not 3x because for all the other items you`re not already investing $120 to get access to the deal. These are $200-$500 items that should generate a good amount of warranties along with other add on sales so they deserve to be treated like the other items in the same price points.
I`d suggest marketing the offer in the weekly ad for better exposure & packaging system deals with GCU, premier title releases & accessories(LE ones with game or console).
This is probably a long shot, but here goes:
Best Buy is the leader in consumer electronics but the technologies that Best Buy utilizes in its stores suggest anything but. If Best Buy wants to be the leader in technology and showcasing it to customers you need to commit to it fully by investing in supporting infrastructure:
(1) Better WiFi bandwidth and infrastructure in-stores. My closest Best Buy is located in a rock quarry. Simply put, cell phone signals don't exist. When employees activate phones, they have to go outside and up the side walk to get reception so you rely heavily on WiFi, which is atrociously slow in this store. Whether it be mobility, home automation, home theater, etc. Everything that is big in technology right now requires significant WiFi to work and as such, Best Buy should provide significant WiFi bandwidth to give its' employees the capabilities to demo these solutions to customers, effectively.
(2) Update/refresh kiosks and registers. It still amazes me to see these clunky registers all over Best Buy (my local Best Buy store still has beige registers to give you an idea) - meanwhile, I go to the local mall and every other store has eliminated the register space in favor of tablet or phone-based point of sale solutions. I would love to see Best Buy consider giving each department several tablet-based point of sale units and maybe keep registers up front only for cash-based transactions. This would create a better shopping experience for customers and employees alike and force Best Buy to update their antiquated POS software - if you've ever been in a Best Buy store when a register goes down, I need to say no more, but it takes an embarrassingly long amount of time for the systems to restore and they do go down quite a bit. Yes, this would be a sizable investment, but if help desk tickets went down as low as even 25%, there's a significant ROI on this too.
Collector’s Editions/Limited Editions/Steel Books, some of us love then. Others could not care less. Often the difference compared to a “regular” edition can be nothing more than a different box art. There are gamers who do appreciate these little extras but sometimes the price requested is just not agreeable. So there can be instances when these special editions will sit on the shelf (taking up extra space) much longer than it’s vanilla counterpart who may gone on sale multiple times or who may be eligible on a certain month for an @gamer discount. It is that the collector’s editions(in terms of @Gamer sales coupons) seem to get… overlooked.
Just an example, the @Gamer coupons could be a 50% off to include all boxed variations and platforms (when applicable). That way there is no need for BB staff to concern themselves with or worry about “questionable” coupons as all variances of a game are covered on ONE coupon. I know this would alleviate a lot of “I need to check this out with my manager”, or “I’m not sure if this is the correct title”. Simplifying the BB reps duties and streamline the customers experience created a better shopping (and working) experience for all parties involved.
