Having wished this myself in the past I can truly say I like this idea. Space in any retail store is usually at a premium, and rarely goes to waiting areas when product could be displayed in that space. Because of this it's unlikely this idea would be put in place in every Best Buy store. I guess it's possible that stores with more square footage might be able to create waiting areas. Who else would like to see this idea put into place? Make sure you vote for an idea if you like it.
My Best Buy has a seated waiting area right in front of the Geek Squad desk and anohter over in cell phones.
this must be a store by store issue. But you are correct there should be a sitting area for those awaiting customer service.
I have to vote this up because there are sometimes lengthy wait times at my store to ask for assistance. At least let me sit down and rest while I wait patiently.
In my local Best Buy, I noticed the mobile area had a temporary seating area setup during the Black Friday sales weekend. I guess it depends on the store and how much space is available.
In my local mall for crowd control, phone numbers were taken down and families would get a text message to say it was their turn for Santa pictures.
In a popular Bellevue (Din Tai Fung) restaurant, they were using an App called "NoWait" to track customers waiting over 2 hours for a table. You could see where you are in the queue while you were shopping, there was continual projected wait times.
My father who has kidney disease could had benefited from this before. There have been wait times before where he would have to go out to the car and wait until I'm finished cause with his weight and health he just can't stand up for long periods of time.
I too have a loved one who cannot stand for long times. Some solutions I found...
