i started my holiday shopping on Friday, making a purchase for my spouse who is impossible to buy for. Today my spouse got a " Thank you for your purchase of "x" would you rate your purchase...thanks Best Buy. Yes, I could have thought to myself at the check out that the reward points program that my family uses is registered under his email so I should have skipped the reward portion of the sale. Maybe Best Buy could suspend the email for feedback until after Dec 25?
I strongly disagree. Simpy for the fact if you make an online purchase this is your receipt.
Perhaps it would be better to have an option asking if you want a receipt emaild to you.
This was an in-store purchase and I DID choose to print receipt only. What they sent him was a " thank you for your purchase and please rate your satisfaction with the purchase" ....
I am confident that we would not shut off thank you for your purchase emails, but I do hear where you are coming from. Our My Best Buy rewards program is not intended to be used by more than one person; because of this we off course assumed your spouse made the purchase. In the future if you don't want these emails to go to someone else, and still receive points, you should use your own My Best Buy membership.
