Stacking Gift Cards

Status: Tell Us More

I think Best Buy should really look into the idea of "stacking" gift cards in an account like Amazon allows you to do.  That was I could have an avaiable balance sitting in my account ready to go.  This would be much easier for when you have multiple small gift cards before you have to get the combined in the store.

This sounds like a reasonable idea to me. I'm sure it's possible, but would require an investment on our part to update our systems. Would anyone else like to see this idea put into place? Make sure to vote for an idea if you like it.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but can't you redeem Reward certs right from the register? I thought I read that, maybe it was just a dream. I don't see this being any different, it would just have be looked up from your account that's tied to your phone number. Maybe as a bit of security you'd be obligated to provide ID and/or your Best Buy membership card (ala the cards mailed to you when you hit Elite status,etc).

@M_Sanges, we're talking about gift cards, not reward certs.

another possibilty, while not as awesome as what this ideax is asking for, would be the ability to tie multiple gift cards to your online account.  Walmart does this.  I currently have 5 different gift cards tied to my wm account, all have a running balance and can be used whenever I'm logged in.  Very easy to make a purchase on the fly.

 I agree with this totally. People have been asking this question since 2014 on here. Whats the hold up?

Alrighty, what the heck is the hold-up?  This is something that needs to be looked at pronto!  We can stack gift cards at Amazon, Target, and some extent, even Wal-Mart.  This is a great way to encourage impulse purchases and to combine lower value gift cards in one spot.

@USMC369

As with many other ideas here that have not been moved on it is the lack of votes and comments that keeps the idea from being looked into further.
