How about adding an option for users of the website or app to choose to add there email or cell number to be tested and be alerted when an item you are looking to buy goes on sale.

I would like to see on sale alerts for when something I'm looking for is discounted and also available to order alerts for items that are either not yet available or have sold out.

Sounds like a good idea.

I know when I purchased my TV I had picked out the 2 sets I was final on and just kept checking the web site every day (via bookmark) until one day it was discounted $1500.  Ten minutes later it was mine.

I have alterts set up with Airfare watchers and it has prompted me to buy vacations on a moments notice.

I was just thinking this yesterday. I'm looking to buy a Turtle Beach 800x Elite Wireless Headset for my XBO. I can't justify $299 for it. I was wishing for a way to tag it and be notified whenever the price is reduced or it goes on sale.

This is a great idea - not only goes on sale, but reduced for clearance.  This idea of yours would increase customer satisfaction.  Isn't thats why Best Buy is in business?
