If the product works the exact way it was supposed to, why should it matter If someone were to return it in 30 days?

I think the product should be tested and then you can see if you can return it or not.

I'm not sure I understand what your idea is. Are you saying that you would like our return or exchange period to be longer than 30 days if the product tests to be functioning properly?

Just my thought, but the further you lengthen a return period, the more abuse you're likely to see from it.  Not to mention that the more an item is used, the more likely it is to have a problem.  How long of a return period do you want?  Or do you feel that there shouldn't be a period as long as the item works?

There doesn't have to be a period. There can be several rules as guidelines though. Such as no scratches and other damages to the item.

Thanks for the clarification. I should point out that we do provide a longer return or exchange period for our Reward Zone Premiere Silver members, but you would have to qualify for silver membership before this would be an option for you.


I can promise you that we are consistently reviewing all our policies, and I'm confident that lengthening the timeframe is something we have considered more than once.


I should also point out that your idea of the condition of the item effecting whether we accept a return or exchange beyond 30 days wouldn't be make a difference. The reason for this is we already require any product being returned or exchanged to be in like-new condition. Thanks for the idea.

I just want to say that I love Best Buy's "Perfect Match" promise. I bought a monitor that I thought I would love, but hated it. Returning it was no hassle at all, so I tried another one from Best Buy, and it is a keeper. It was a very positive experience and I really felt valued as a customer.
