I agree with this! It's sort of like with Comcast and going over their bandwidth requirement. They give you a phone call with an automated service that pretty much says "slow down, you about to go over"
I wholeheartedly agree. If Best Buy is monitoring this then there should be a way for them to let you know before you do it, just as Amazon does when it has limited quantity offers.
Agreed. This sort of thing needs to be put in place. Albeit I've almost completely stopped buying games from and trading games into Best Buy due to the elimination of the @gamer coupons and the magazine. Not so much the magazine as the coupons though, since most of the articles in the mag were meh at best. Not to mention them going completely digital whether you chose that option or not.
Not only that but since BB's partner in the now former magazine never got back to me about a possible replacement for my remaining YEARS I had of the paid magazine and the mods here basically told me tough luck on a credit for what was a paid portion of the subscription I doubt I'm going to even bother renewing this crap in 2017. Unless they resurrect at least the paid GCU coupons and let em stack with sale prices like usual.
I agree with the idea. As I stated in the other idea on this topic having a way to turn off the discount but still get points would be benefical for people purchasing gifts and for games where you may be purchasing it twice (on 2 different systems) and then risk accidentally triggering the limit a year or so later when getting it as a cheap gift etc.
Another vote for this. There's situations where it is potentially confusing where games that have been re-released (like The Last of Us) or games with similar titles in the same franchise (Pokemon X and Pokemon Y - BTW, give us some clarification on this particular situation here) might ding the system.
I have three kids, and all love Pokemon. If there's four versions of a game, I could easily get dinged and it completely be innocent.
Or best buy should just change the 3 game limit.
