But seriously they need to keep that in the way they have it and ask EVERY TIME. It is better customer service to ask every time. If they had such a preference in there foreseeable problems could be people changing their email and not updating their account.
@nckhammond there's other reasons to not do this as well. I've had a time where someone was buying a gift for someone else (usually their significant other) and they don't want them to know so whereas for their own personal purchases they prefer email receipt for this one they prefer paper. Paper's also nice for gifts because you can attach it to the item so if it comes in different sizes, colors, configs, etc. they can exchange it easily if it's not exactly what they want.
