RZ Points for Customer Survey

Status: Acknowledged
by on ‎06-22-2014 12:53 PM

Best Buy has a Customer Survey at the bottom of every reciept that offers "a chance for a $5000 shopping spree".  Honestly most people won't take the survey for a chance at something.  Most other companies offer something of true value (Food places offer free small food items or a small discount, some stores offer a $$ discount on next purchase.)

I would suggest offer RZ points for a completed survey instead of the "chance" at a shopping spree.  It would build value towards your brand (My Best Buy) and give customers something they can actually use.  Obviously you can prevent abuse by limiting the amount of surveys per day/week/month that award points due to the requirement of having be attached to a My Best Buy account.

It doesn't have to be a lot, 20-50 points may be good enough per survey.  Most companies are putting value in these surveys so this benefit would drive awareness as well.

At this time we will not be moving ahead with this idea. The closest thing we do is give My Best Buy points to customers that post approved product reviews on BestBuy.com.

The bird-in-hand vs. two-in-the-bush concept is interesting. Would anyone else like us to put this idea into place? Remember to vote for an idea if you like it.

Good idea BB could use the provided data to improve the brand. And they could sell some of the info too just not peoples email addresses.

Suddenly : 100 purchases of chewing gum Smiley Wink

But seriously, yes, it'd make me remember to do them.

@RealGeorgeW, those items by checkout are extremely overpriced I think a soda is $1.80-$2 per bottle. Depending on the amount given BB could actually make huge profits on add ons lol. I see peoples faces when they try to use a $20 mybb cert on an item $19.99 then they realize they have to get a filler to get the transaction to go thru lol.

@RealGeorgeW  I did say in the original post that since people would have to link their MyBBY account to the survey you could limit the amount of qualifing surveys that way.

I would do surveys more often if I knew for sure that I would get something (like points) out of it, rather than the extremely slim chance I'd potentially win something big.

Currently I ignore the surveys, but if they earned me a few extra points I would fill out every one!

That $1000 thing is bunch of Lies No 1 wins nothing   that's how they trick people into survey's because they know that people are not going to fill out survey's for nothing so they have to add something to make it worth their while then again why would i take a survey which is not going to benefit me in any way it's going to benefit the company that i just paid into  at least if they add like 10%  20%  not just from regular prices also from sales prices  from next purchase then people will be more into it   1 Million people making a purchase a best buy everyday  only 1 is going to " win" that $1000 in that month  Best Buy along with other companies just play the greedy game  to me the Reward Zone is nothing but for Tax purposes its a write off  $5 from every 250   Best Buy just sold you  a $10,000 TV their from it is  at least $4-5,000  ps  so if best buy gives you's $50 from that purchase wow  Best Buy is so generous  NOT
