This was of course a rumor a while back and no one knew for sure if it was real or not but we need something above Silver. As of now you have to spend $2500 or higher but what about the people who spend higher than that? I've heard of Reward Zone taking select members to college football games as well, we need more of a better higher tier for people who spend lots year after year. Here is a few ideas and maybe people can comment on it and or add some ideas or take some away.
Spend $5,000 per year to get to top level
VIP line for crowded days so there should be no wait in line
VIP priority for mobile phone area with skip to front of line
90 day return policy
VIP card instead of giving phone number or printing one off
2 day advance sale on silver members for black friday
Fridge stocked in store with water/soda for VIP/Black members (You can keep a mini fridge behind customer service)
2x Points on all purchases
Also Hilton Gives its top members reserved parking so maybe we can get reserved parking as well
Early entry on sales days like Tax Free Weekend or other sales you might have
Also get all of the silver benefits in addition to the above
These are just some ideas but you get the idea here, as I have spent above the 5K mark I feel like I need more rewards
Perhaps instead of acairing a higher level of purchase instead make it a higher level for those who consistantly stay a rewards zone silver. With a single big purchase the suggested way a person can acheive elite status.
Personally I have been a Silver Rewards member for a number of years in a row. And I have already qualified for 2014. I have not spent $5000 in a year but I have been consistently in the program.
So I would say yes there should be an elite status for rewards zone but base it on being a recurring member.
Consistency would be nice, Ive been psm for maybe 4 or 5 years no and most of the time I hit around 6k per year but maybe do something like 3500 per year for two years or more and update people who already meet this as well.
yes, consistency is very nice. i too have been premier silver since i can remember, maybe since 2006? thats going on 7 years without missing the $2500 dollar deadline. Last year alone I spent nearly $6000 at Best Buy. I too would like to see a higher tier based on consistency and maybe your overall spending pool. Great idea! it's got my vote.
As a first time silver member this could be something big! I would suggest the same idea as above though and have it go by amount of years with the title. A couple of other thoughts:
1) I somehow don't see the parking being possible...I know several Best Buy's in GA where parking just isn't going to happen for sure! (doesn't bother me though really considering I have a handicap permit...)
2) There should be a "grace" period like if you miss it by one year or something of that matter you still qualify.
I am all for having a higher tier than just Silver such as Gold, Platinum, Black, etc. Also, I agree with AWBrown about the parking being an issue here in GA. haha
Here are my ideas. Some of them are just me agreeing with the thread starter, snobird.
I especially like the idea of some further recognition that someone is a higher level RWZ member. It just makes you feel appreciated instead of just someone else that's part of the masses of basic accounts.
@cyphic i like the ideas that you listed. maybe instead of 25% bonus on the total purchase for points, it can be increased to 30%.
Also it would be great to see quarterly promotions for VIP Elite/Black members as well, such as special discounts in certain categories or triple points in certain categories of products per quarter.
More access to Black Friday specials and deals as well, whether it be during regular store hours a week before Black Friday or an online flyer like silver members received last year with preview specials and early ordering, which was fantasic!
I've been a silver member for 7 years already, it would be great to have a permenant status at the store rather than have to meet a certain level of spending every calendar year.
