Best buy has so many products and the search capabilities are so limited... i couldnt find the perfect android tablet for myself so i just gave up.

If you are looking for what a true power search capable website is, look at newegg.com's power search function. i wanted to desperately find an ice cream sandwhich android tablet that operated with 2gb of ram. there is no such way of trying to find that on the best buy website. that was the only feature i cared about when looking for tablets. 

I have always thought for years, why doesnt best buy step up their game to power users since best buy is pretty much the only electronics brick and mortar game in town now... why not cater to the avid uber power users who are gonna be the most loyal to you???

I have to admit this isn't the first idea on how to make our BestBuy.com search capability better, and we are always open to new suggestions. Does anyone else have anything to add to this idea? Remember vote for the idea if you like it.

was loking for flatpanel with bluetooth audio.. no search for that (no place) not just BB

I have long wished that the Best Buy website would get improved search results through the website's search bar when looking for products on the website. Although I believe they have gotten better, they are still far from where they should be. An example that I can give is for a search that I used today. I was looking for Canon branded SLR lenses for my DSLR and so I searched with several different strings including "Canon Lens"& "SLR lens". On each of these searches I got almost no (4 total) results for actual Canon branded SLR lenses. I finally decided to go through the menus and find them that way and found 86 total Canon branded lenses.

I don't know why the search function works this way, but I have lost faith in it due to the fact that I rarely get the results I am looking for when using the search bar. If the search bar was improved and showed ALL relevant results, rather than just a handful then I believe users would have a much better experience searching for products.
