Offer more physical pre-order bonuses with games/movies

I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting this to happen. It just seems like some games get the $10 MyBB certificate after those who pre-ordered it purchase it at launch and occasionally movies will have a $X amount of movie cash to go see the movie while it's still in theaters with a pre-order.

But RARELY do I ever see a pre-order bonus like, let's say the small artbook and CD soundtrack that the game Catherine received at Amazon and Gamestop. I actually had that game pre-ordered at Best Buy but when release date came and I saw that you guys didn't get the same consideration from the publisher as other retailers and the artbook/CD was missing, I'll admit that I cancelled my pre-order and went somewhere where I could get those items.

Why? Because while a $5/$10 or sometimes $20 certificate is nice and will generate loyalty amongst some gamers, some of us sometimes would like a nice little physical bonus on TOP of those loyalty rewards to further entice us.

So how about it? Tell publishers you guys are serious about trying to out-Gamestop Gamestop and want the same pre-order goodies they dole out to the big boys of game sales.

We should already be providing physical pre-order bonuses when provided to us by the vendor. I know we have in the past and should continue to do so into the future.

I do support this but I think there is more of a political issue here as well. More than likely GS and Amazon paid extra to get these product extras.

Agree with the idea but since they rejected getting the steelbooks I think this will also encounter the same issue(s). If they are selling the game exclusively though swag + incentives galore would come on those titles.

I don't think I've EVER seen a physical pre-order bonus for games when pre-ordered at Best Buy. I've seen the $10/$20 certificates mentioned(though not advertised aggressively enough to spur sales from those who still equate Gamestop with pre-ordering games), but I cannot recall ANY games being mentioned as having any kind of physical bonus with it when ordering from you guys.

Most recently Wolfenstein was to have the figurine which ended up being a $5 credit instead. Skylanders came with a grab bag of stuff(junk really to adults but ok for kids). There`s been posters for pre-orders many times & steelbooks for dead island riptide. I`d like to see BB be much more aggressive regards to all things gaming with GCU being $120 though. Make it worth the $120 so people join at full rate.

Ah yes. I remember the steelbook cases for Dead Island Riptide and Arkham Origins now. I also remember getting a poster at the release of GTA V now.

So those are 3 instances I can recall now offhand. But I'd rather a bonus soundtrack or other good physical item versus metal cases that can get dinged or be dinged before being handed out or a poster that'll likely end up in my closet collecting dust(like the GTA one did).
