Many people have already purchased, played & beaten The Last of Us on PS3 so it will be a hard sell to get them to rebuy the PS4 version at full price that is. However, if there was a promotion that allowed us to trade in our PS3 copy towards the PS4 one(not just the standard trade in) that would be enough to entice a day 1 purchase even for people who don`t even own their PS4 yet. Combine the PS3 trade in with either a $10 pre-order or $10-$20 instant giftcard offer with soda/candy deal would also be tempting.

For referrence, the Dark Souls 2 offer was a $15 instant giftcard w/purchase of the game, any coke soda product & a pack of Perky Jerky. a trade in deal like enuf mentions here is the only way I will buy the last of us on ps4..so I defnitely am interested!

Recent sales history of high profile ports like Tomb Raider Definitive Edition shows there are big sales figures at stake. With over 7 million PS4`s already BB could do quite well locking up a high % of these pre-orders. Even pairing an above promotion plus taking $20 off select titles would be wonderful.

Thanks for the suggestion. You can already trade-in The Last of Us for PS3 and then use the gift card you receive to purchase the new version.

We`re interested in a targeted promotion along the lines of the fall trade in trade up. For AC you could buy the PS3/360 version & get a locked in value to reduce the PS4/XB1 version when the new systems released. Basically, most people will only pay $60($47.99) on day one if there`s a $10-$20 credit(instant giftcard or pre-order credit) deal or a "pre-order/purchase The last of us AND trade in your PS3 copy get the PS4 version for $45 w/o GCU or $40 w/GCU". Other retailers are offering pre-order credits so with no offer from BB even GCU members will not buy on day 1 we`ll just wait for a $40 or less sale down the line.

The MSRP for this has dropped to $49.99 so either offering a $10 pre-order/instant giftcard credit or "trade PS3 The last of us get the PS4 version for $29.99 w/GCU is all that`s needed.
