I'd like an "alert me" link under sold-out items that we can click that will pop up options to be e-mailed, texted, or both when the item becomes available.
Also, within that message have a link to the product saying something like, "Buy it now."

Basically, a customer goes to buy an item, but it is sold out. I'm saying to place a link directly under the gray "sold out" that pops up a box with the statement, "Alert me when this item is in stock."
There would be 3 options:
Notify by text
Notify by e-mail
Notify by text and email
selecting a particular item will have its respective fillable box, fill in the e-mail, phone number, or both, then click submit, and it does exactly that.
Then, when the alert occurs, there is a link in the message that goes directly to the add to cart page, so the customer can purchase the item.
I thought that did exist for many items.
I wanted a Logitech 5.1 computer speaker system last summer that was marked as sold out. I selected a notify me box. A few weeks later I recieved the message that it was in stock. I immedialy jumped on and purchased it.
I went back a few minutes later and it was marked as sold out.
For many high demand items like a PS5 or Xbox X it would cause a lot of issues. Exmaple there could be 3000 people wanting one. 50 become availabe to order online. In 5 mintues you have 2894 people hitting the same item and locking things up.
Why would someone not want the option? You think a server can't handle 3000 requests a minute? This is the obvious solution to this problem.
Please let there be an option to enter email or number to be notified when an item is back in stock. I am currently looking at the master and dynamics mw65 and mw08 but those are always sold out.
