Most people go to a brick and mordor store because they want an item NOW, They don't want you to order it for them. They could do that themselves at home if they wanted to do that. Increase your inventory on new items and hot items. I'm nat talking about keeping every tech trinket ever invented in stock. That would be impossible. I'm talking about things you have on display. If I can see a live unit of something and a price tag next to it, I should be able to buy it right then. I understand that some items are in such high demand that you may have to wait a few days for another shipment to come in, but when an item is on display and ready to sell and the next shipment has come in with said item not onboard, it's inexcusable. Stop trying to save a small fortune and up your inventory of items you have on display!

Can you give an example of what you wanted to purchase?

  • I often use the website to confirm inventory before making a trip to that store.  If one store is sold out, there's often a nearby store that has my item in stock.
  • Are people still looking for greatness?

One needs to keep it realistic here.

For every one of you who gets mad because the item they want is on display and not in stock, there are going to be 10 people out there who are madder because they cannot see an example of what they want to buy and put their hands on it first, even if they have to wait a few days to get it.

They don't want to buy from only having seen an image of the item online.

Personally I have had very few instances of wanting something that was on display and it was not actually in stock.  My TV is an exception, but Best Buy had it to my house with in 3 days.
