Introduce promotions designed around a customere paycheck

Call it "Best Buy Pay Days Play Days", basically this would be a perm. benefit designed to reward loyal shoppers based upon the amount a money they spend from their respective paychecks at BestBuy. A customer would need to "register" their payday(weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) & provide their income. And they would recieve either a discount, coupon or offer based off the % of the amount they spend from their paycheck amount.

So if a person spends 50% of that paycheck amount their promo perk would be higher than a person who spending 10% of their paychecks amount. This is a good way to keep customers spending on a consistant basis & possibly going outta their way to make that respective purchase at BB vs another retailer.

You would also need to account for customers who make more/less than others accordingly as a customer who makes $800 bi weekly vs $2,000 bi weekly wouldn`t be on the same scale. But if the person who makes less is spending a larger % of their check they actually can be more devoted to BB even though their total cash volume may be much smaller annually.

Interesting idea, but I do have privacy concerns here. How would we verify their income without them sharing paystubs etc...? I'm not sure if we would ever want to have customer's sharing their paystubs with us. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this? Remember to vote for an idea if you like it.

Um...yeah....I don't think it's BB's business how much cash I make every other week....

Besides that one litle technicality this isn't a bad idea though. It just needs some improvements to keep privacy overall. I assume this would have to be done via the credit card for BB?

Partnering with a reputable tax firm like H+R Block to verify the income & the customer would fill in the rest thru a "registry". BB should only have access to the actual #`s not documents though & it would be up to thr customer if they choose to participate & give any info at all.

Sorry, no one needs to/gets to know my income without a better reason than this.
