Since it now cost an additional $1,000 to reach elite plus over premier silver the rewards/perks/benefits should also be increasing. Previous premier silver promos maxed at 3X like at the shopping events and coupons so now they should reach 5x like this past weekends 5x promo.
This would be a true game changer & a catalyst promo for big ticket sales
1- Having this promo in place when the SuperBowl is coming for tv sales
2- When new tablets/phones release
3- When the Steam Machine/Retron5 consoles release
4- Kicking off the 2014 holiday shopping season
5- When new tech tv`s hit the shelves
6- Kicking off the 2014 holiday shopping season
7- In conjunction with E3, CES & other electronic shows/events
8- And since you won`t price match on Black Friday offer elite plus members the bonus during the early access event
I think that'd be a good incentive to reach Elite Plus in the first place.
I will say, the promo events really don't have much incentive to me currently. As an elite plus member and a GCU member and a Best Buy credit card holder the 3x points thing isn't really all that special. 5x would be a bigger incentive and I think including it in some for for the early Black Friday sale is a solid idea (entice your best customers to spend more money at the time of year that makes or breaks most companies is just smart).
Voted up. The benefits of going from Elite to Plus is not enough to motivate me to spend more. It will have no impact on me if I dont spend the extra couple hundred bucks in the next few months and I am downgraded to Elite. Now if BB starts adding promos you will have my attention.
25% bonus is the same(the 10% for elite is offset fairly)
Point Banking is the same
Shipping is the same
45 day returns is 15 less than the previous 60

So it`s basically pay $1000 more for more of the same. Elite Plus is supposed to the premium tier so here should be premium benefits/perks/rewards. If there were people would spend $5 to get them.

I heard back from the business team on this, and we will not be moving ahead with this idea at this time. They did say this is something we might re-visit in the future.
